Susaki in Minamishinagawa was one of the special district for delivering fish and shellfish to the shogunate, and was built on a sandbar at the mouth of the Meguro River. The town was built on a sandbar at the mouth of the Meguro River. If you crossed the Torimi Bridge from the inn, you could pay a visit to the Suzaki Benten Shrine, which enshrines Benzaiten, the god of water.

南品川の洲崎は幕府に魚介類を納める「御菜肴八ヶ浦」のひとつで、目黒川河口の砂洲にできた町。宿場から鳥見橋を渡れば水の神・弁財天を祀る洲崎弁天社を参詣することができた。
